Flight Calculator

This form will calculate the triangle of velocities for a simple navigation.
Required items are: Stage, Altitude,Wind Direction, Wind Speed, the aircraft's cruise Airspeed, the Fuel in Ltrs/hr, the Variance, the Track required and the Distance. With these input parameters, the True Heading, Magnetic Heading, Ground Speed, Time and Fuel Required can be calculated without resorting to plotting on wallpaper and also eliminates the minor inaccuracies of pencil lines and ruler by using trigonometric functions to calculate the results.
  • Be sure to enter a name in the Stage column or calculation for that specific stage will not take place.
  • Naturally, do not mix statute miles with nautical miles.
  • Time to be in minutes.
  • Each row is calculated individually, enter all the fields for a specific row.
  • Leave fields for unused stages blank
  • The Altitude field is not mandatory.
